The Committee on Government Organization moved to amend the bill by striking out the title and substituting therefor a new title, to read as follows:

Eng. House Bill 2953—H. B. 2953 -- A Bill to amend and reenact §7-17-3 and §7-17-12 of the Code of West Virginia, 1931, as amended, all relating to county fire protection services; clarifying that county commission may contract with fire department of any political subdivision for fire protection services; and modifying existing method for imposing fire service fees to add procedure for a ballot referendum to be used, if desired, instead of utilizing current procedure requiring 10 percent of voters to petition for imposition of such fees.
